Accepting these terms
These terms cover your use of the Ironstone Berkeley Concrete and Masonry website and any estimate or service you ask us for through it. By browsing the site, calling us or sending a request through our form, you agree to these terms, so please read them before you reach out.
If you don't agree with them, please don't use the site. You can always go back to our home page or call us at (510) 345-1156 with questions before you decide.
What we do
Ironstone Berkeley Concrete and Masonry is a masonry contractor in Berkeley, CA. We do concrete and masonry work for homes in Berkeley and the cities around it, including foundation repair, brick and chimney repair, tuckpointing, retaining walls, pavers, walkways and stone work.
The service descriptions on this site are general information to help you understand the work. They aren't a promise that a particular method, material or result fits your house, because that depends on what we find on site. You can read more about who we are on our About page.
Estimates and pricing
We give free quotes on site, with no obligation. An estimate is based on what we can see and measure during the visit, so it reflects the conditions, materials and scope we discussed with you at that time.
Masonry work often hides things until it's opened up, like soft mortar behind a sound face, a cracked footing or damaged brick under a cap. When that happens, we stop and talk with you before doing extra work, and any change in scope or price is agreed in writing before we go ahead.
Prices or ranges mentioned on this website are general information and not an offer. Your price is the one in your written estimate or contract.
Scheduling and cancellation
We set a start date with you once the job is agreed. Weather, material delivery, permit timing and conditions found on site can move that date, and we'll tell you as soon as we know so you can plan around it.
If you need to reschedule or cancel, please call or message us as early as you can. Any cancellation terms for a specific job are set out in your written contract, and nothing here limits a right to cancel that California law gives you.
Payment
Payment amounts, due dates and accepted payment methods are set out in your written estimate or contract. We'll go over them with you before work starts so there are no surprises.
If a payment is late, we may pause work until the account is brought current, and we'll talk with you first before doing that.
Warranties and what this site doesn't promise
We stand behind our work. Any written warranty for your job is the one in your contract, and it covers what that contract says it covers.
This website is provided as is. We try to keep it accurate and current, but we don't promise that every page is complete, error free or right for your situation, so please treat it as a starting point and talk with us before making decisions about your house.
Materials and products we install may carry their own warranty from the maker. Those warranties come from the maker, and their terms are the maker's.
Limits on our liability
To the extent California law allows, Ironstone Berkeley Concrete and Masonry isn't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses that come from using this website or relying on its general information.
We're licensed and fully insured for the work we do. Our responsibility for a specific job is set by your written contract and by California law, and nothing in these terms takes away a right the law gives you.
Settling a disagreement
If something about a job or this site isn't right, please tell us first. Most problems get fixed fastest when we can come out, look at it with you and agree on what to do.
If we can't work it out together, either of us may pursue the remedies available under California law. Any dispute resolution terms in your written contract apply to that job.
Governing law
These terms and any use of this website are governed by the laws of the State of California.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, and the version posted on this page is the one that applies. If you keep using the site after a change, that means you accept the updated terms.
Questions about these terms are welcome. Call us at (510) 345-1156 or use our Contact page, and we'll reply within one business day.
